Fall in Love with Bourjois makeup

My First ever Bourjois Makeup items came Friday in the post. YEY!
They came with my favourite magazine subscription. 'Company' magazine.
I was so surprised of the quality of these products. I have always just glanced over the Bourjois makeup selection in the drugstores. (Safe to say I won't be anymore)
Immediately as they fell out the packet I couldn't wait to use them, which isn't normally me as I am a hoarder of good makeup products.

First fell out was a nude colour lipstick, even though I do not use nude lipsticks as my lips are very thin and I believe nude colours on my lips make me look very washed out. I adore this one, it glides on so evenly and smoothly. The texture is rich and silky is all I can describe it as. So is the colour it is a very rich nude and with the silky shine it has to it, it quite makes my lips look plump.
It is the Rouge Edition in 02 Beige Trench. The packaging is So neat and appealing I love the contrast of the two colours, defiantly won't be just hidden in my make up collection.

Next is something that is just so me I had a very big smile on my face.
Red nail polish in a wicked dark colour is what I dream of! So when this fell into my hand you can believe the excitement I had.
1 Seconde Gel Nail Polish oddly the actual bottle does not say what it is called so looking it up online the nearest colour I found to it was Rouge Velvet. The applying method is so easy with the thick brush, only two coats was needed and it only took seconds to dry (seconds because the room I was in was boiling so took longer to cool down than in a normal temperature room).

Mascara. Now that is a makeup product I can not live without, it is like my lifeline. As I have naturally blonde hair my eyelashes are also very light (unfortunately). So black mascara is my Savior I love thick fluttering eyelashes as much as a cat loves a nice sunbathe in sun streaks. (That is the first places to look for my two cats).
Now back to this beauty in a pot, 'Beauty Full Volume' in Dark Kohl is very appealing to me it already screams out sexy full lashes. The printed design is very eye catching and the thickness on the bottle inclines me to think I won't be disappointed. The cute little brush is super easy for bottom lashes and getting right to the edge. (no messy smudges on my eyelid. Hoorah!!)

Eyeliner is another daily product I use, mostly I opt for a thin liquid brush on top for a cat eye effect then Kohl pencil on the bottom lash line. Yet I am so excited to try out this angled felt tip like pen liner. It promises me it's long lasting, well in it's own words is 'Very long-lasting' in a 01 Dark Black shade. I am not going to disagree. (Just went to try it for my 'get ready with me' vlog) It was so much more super easy to use than I thought, the first line I made went slightly askew but once I got the angle of the brush correct I did slightly well for my first try.

My final two beauty's are like a naughty sin tempting me in, I have longed for a cream to powder eyeshadow pot for so long, but as I have not used up any of my current eye shadows in powder form I have told myself no!. Then hallelujah two fall right into my hands and the perfect colours! I swear this company just knows me!
First is Colour Edition 24H in 01 Merveille d'argent - A beautiful cream nude almost to pink silver glitter pot of wonderful-ness. This applies so easily and is so flatteringly easy to have a slight shimmer to your eyes or build up for a full on shimmering eye. Out of 10 I give this a 100.

Next is Colour Edition 24H in 05 Prune nocturne - How this colour excites me. A metallic red with a hint of orange to make it more inviting. This I will defiantly be layering up to create a smokey eye look with the 01 Merville d'argent often. This too applies so smoothly and you do have to do a bit of layering to get the full block colour in the pot but it blends in so nicely it really creates a great smokey effect.

All in all I loved every single thing and can not wait to go raid the bourjois counter soon for more stock.

Haul, All under £30!!!

Just look at my gorgeous new shoes! was £45 I payed only £4.50. I bought them in a catalogue return shop priced £15 but reduced to £9 for clearance stock. Luckily my soon to-be mother in law told me they had a blue cross sale on so 50% off most items. equals £4.50
They are not the most comfortable pair of heels with the plastic digging in at the front but for that price I will happily have them for show. I shall be wearing them to a wedding reception though so wearing them in a bit.
Odd reason to buy a handbag but it's my honest reason. I love going to the city but hate lugging my heavy handbags around, I own small side bags but none would fit my purse in never mind anything else. I saw this in the Peacocks sale for £6 the design is different and my purse/makeup fit in perfectly.
Motel Rocks dress was £28 now £3, you just have to look for the sales.
Why not type online and find out where your nearest catalogue return shop is.
This dress I thought I could wear for work, it looked a little bigger than my average size and I believed the cut out would sit high on my neck. Oh no it's way too short, the cut out is on my boobs and it's all rather too revealing.
It's a 'LoveLable' dress and if you know me even a little bit you know half my wardrobe is this brand!.
This dress is a deep plum red, very snug, girlie fit and a keyhole cut out at the back fastened with a gold button. I literally heart this dress more than I thought I would.
Love label clothing items can be bought from many places.
Me and my partner are planning to go on our first holiday together soon (also my first ever holiday).
I noticed a rail of bikini's for a £1 each, how could I say no and surprisingly all in my size or a 8 top size!.
Perfect for holiday items, this is rather a 'bra' shaped design, it fastens at the back and has two adjustable straps.
This is exactly the same as the above and same price just in the gorgeous purple colour.
A triangle, regular shaped bikini in a black and white paisley pattern. This also fastens at the back and ties with the straps at the back of the neck. £1
This is the type of bikini I was advised to buy as I am rather petite, at first I thought I would dislike it as it rather reminds me of my childhood ones. Never judge a book by it's cover this looks great on!
This does not fasten  just pull over your head  pull the strap back over your head onto your neck.
£1
I seen this necklace full price before and absolutely loved the colour but I was not going to pay full price as I had only just bought a statement necklace.
When I seen this half price and I was already on a shopping spree I thought 'oh why not' and so far I have worn it quite a bit.
A rather more boring purchase but I wanted more vest tops for my un-matching pyjama bottoms.
£2 this vest top is from the pyjama aisle in Peacocks, has a super soft touch feel and elasticated under petticoat on the chest area for more support in that area.

Getting Creative in the office; DIY Friends in a plant pot

My creative ten minutes in work today. (yes I am very busy most of the time haha.)
I felt on wednesday that my desk needed some flowers to brighten it up. So I went to asda grocery shopping and spotted this one for £2.50.
Trick: when buying plants potted or not go for ones with the most buds closed even if dont look very pretty at the moment because they will open up, look gorgeous and last longer. Trust me!
My colleague gave me a small pot that was spare (she uses painted pots for pens or such).
The plant fitted in snugly and was a good topic brought up for two days, then me being creative me I felt the need to add a creature in the middle of the roses.
A rabbit came instantly to mind so I used my creative skills and made my first creature.
The guy that works across the desk from me was impressed saying I should make a wonderland in there, I agreed as I was thinking the same and so the fox was created.
(The fox and rabbit is at peace not about to be dinner just for those of you worried)
Carrying on reading to see my step by step simple creativity.

Step 1:
Draw your little creature outline or any design you want really on a piece of scrap paper or anything really!
(use the internet for templates if you need a little help drawing)

Step 2:
Add detail to your design

Step 3:
Cut out your design as carefully as you can (The easier the shaped drawing is, the easier will be to cut)

Step 4:
I broke a paperclip into pieces by twisting it around a scissor. But you could use a hair pin and bend it to form a 'V' shape or a pin anything that is sturdy and small enough to hide.

Step 5:
Sellotape your make shift stand to your design
(cut the sellotape as tiny as you can but enough to tape)

Step 6:
And so your little creation is ready to place in your flower pot!

Have Fun
Don't forget to send me your photos of your creations to:

Gorgeously cheap and good Highstreet Beauty Buys

It's only a small haul of beauty things, but in my defence I did buy this all in one week!
Everything I bought is from Superdrug, Asda and poundland.
Trust me they all work and are really worth the search for them.
Starting off lets start with the first things I bought, these two magic wonders are for the 'younger generation' skin. They help reduce redness and uneven skin tone. So far they have worked wonders on me
I use these daily in my routine, once I have wiped my face of all traces I either place some of the Cleanser (the smaller bottle) on a cotton pad or just lightly dab it on my face with my finger tips in small circle motions. This is usually just before bed.
I wake up and use the moisturiser as a matt base, together they have worked well, I always have a slightly red chin as that is where my break-outs usually occur. I started to develop red cheeks and not the nice kind of blush red either and these products seem to have lowered the redness to a quite healthy looking glow.
Asda 99p Each!!!! How can you go wrong?
Sponges, these were actually bought for my little sister. Well a packet of them was from poundland, she does not own any make-up brushes and I am fed up of her foundation barely rubbed in never mind the orange lines she has. Brushes can be expensive so I remembered seeing a pack of 30 in poundland so I bought some for her and took three out to use as a light dabbing tool for my concealer.
I was not after this at all, but I couldn't resist only £2 in the M.U.A collection in Superdrug.
It is a cream based big stick eyeshadow tint, many colours are available but I chose the nude colour with a light shimmer as I mostly use nude items (minus my lipstick!!).
To be honest it does not seem to do much for me, it blends in too well with my skin tone but I use it as a great base now to build up bigger colour.
I have already used a previous M.U.A lipstick right down so for a £1 I browsed again and come across this white limited edition. It reminds me of a dark plum colour that has a slightly naughty side to it. I expected it to be smooth and slippery like the previous but it has quite a thick texture to it if you know what I mean?. It sits there for a good few hours and does not easily rub off like the other one. So far I love this one as you have to build up the colour to get the exact colour on the swatch but that works great for me as I can go for a subtle look on work days or build it up for those days I want people to notice my Lips.
I have had a white kohl pencil on my 'To buy' list for ages, I have seen many girls use it on their lower lash line to make them appear more big eyed or awake. I went in Superdrug not very confident that one would actually be in stock (as the Superdrug's by me either get sold out very quickly or poorly stocked all the time). I actually found one!, it did not have a barcode on it though as I found out at the till so it may have been a tester but it did not look used so I just sharpened it and used the nib on my hand for a while just to make sure!.
So far it works. I would not say it stays for a long time like some other higher branded products but it works for a £1.
I have had a full fringe since I can remember and everyone says they always need so much care and time but I never found that mine did till now.
Now my fringe has decided to part in the middle often, once cut it seems to have developed a liking to the right side of my head creating this stupid curve towards the right.
I watched 'Wonderful y0u' do a get ready with me video and saw she used a round brush like many other girls do to tame their fringe so I saw it time to buy one (just a cheap one) to see how I got on before I invested in a better one.
Can't complain yet!

What's in my Bag TAG.

I had a couple of hours to myself so I thought it was about time I did an updated
'Whats in my bag'
I did one well over a year ago and a lot has changed since then.
The bag is from TJMaxx and was a broken bag to which I did not notice but luckily the lady at the counter did and she reduced the price for me.
I removed the only one strap left and replaced it with two gold pins to sit in the now bare holes.
This bag has many pockets to hide and hold things, one pocket at the front, a zip at the back and two zip pockets inside.
Also three open pockets inside, every one full of my everyday essential things.
So what's in my bag, it doesn't look much in this photo but it weighs quite a bit.
Lets start from the top (underneath the bag)
  • My keys and Key chains nothing much exciting here just a rather cute lion key chain with a wild mop of hair that reminds me of my partner's in the morning.
  •  My Black Bow and Gold Primark Purse, This such an amazing purse for how cheap it was. I had a comment last week was it a new one because it looked so new, but no I have had it for about a year now. The material is such that it does not mark or stain easily. The zip sometimes sticks if you try undoing it fast but other wise I adore this purse.
  • Black and white spot bow Make-up bag this too was from Primark, I love the fact it has two separate zip compartments to it. I have make-up items in one and then brushes, mirror and hand sanitizer in the other.
  • Plasters
  •  Paddle Hairbrush
  • Purple Hair clip
  • Cheap Reading glasses (only used when have headaches on the computer)
  • Avon Hand cream
  • Impulse- tease body spray
  • Madonna - Diamonds Eau de Toilet spray only for work purposes
  • Schwarzkopf - Rockin-it Dry shampoo. This smells really good and doesn't leave flakes or patches.
  • Chewing Gum
  • Iphone charger cable
  • Cheap purple earphones - this is cause they get such in a mess that I do not see the point of placing my expensive ones in my bag.
  • A random 5p
  • Lots of notes
  • Paying in book
  • Nail file
  • Go ahead apple and sultana bar.
My bag is rather full but rather boring perhaps?
TAG yourself in this and link me to your page I do love a good nose and read
