3rd Week of August weekly photo merge.

I have taken a few photos that sum up this week in August for me.
Left to Right:
  •  The key to my new smaller Car
  • Cupcakes, all this week I have eaten cakes and doughnuts
  • My One and Only but definatly Favourite Statement Necklace
  • Straightners, whether my hair has been straight or needs an extra bit of curl these work wonderfully
  •  Funny, dull Caterpillar I found a caterpillar in my garden, helped it onto a leaf and it fell into the pot and stupidly wouldnt climb the bigger leaves to climb out just kept failing to climb the shiny pot.
  • Midi- rings they are very tight but I love them
  • A close up of the 'Lipsy' Label from my favourite new trench coat
  • My new purse that fits all my needs and is lightweight
  • My new trench coat, for years I have wanted a nude trench coat but needed to save for the perfect one, but I found this light pink one in a sale was £79 now £20. I had to have it!
Take some pictures and show me your weekly sum up? Just send me the link and I will take a look

Work Wear is it a chore?

How to dress down your professional work outfits for a more relaxed work climate.
Sometimes having a strict dress code of: black trousers/ skirt, polo shirt/ shirt can make life easier because there is no faffing about all you can add then is your own personal touch maybe in slight shoes or accessories. But this also can be boring so having the option to wear anything as long as presentable can be an exciting thought but when does it become a chore?
When you wake up every morning and have a pile of 'tried on clothes, but for some reason don't look good on you today' on your bed?.
When going shopping for appropriate tops is more of a slave in it's self?
Well when you have a total laid back work dress code as long as presentable that too can be boring because you feel like you can not look 'too done up' for the sake of feeling like a prize goat in a fair when everyone else is in everyday clothes but then what is too little to look unpresentable?.
I follow these few little ideas and steps let's see if they can help you too.
Skinnies that aren't jeans! such as wear tight fitted soft camel/black/grey colour trousers.
Detailed vest tops but paired with a dark blazer/ formal cardigan
A plain tight fitted shirt could be brightened up with a statement necklace (such as a vintage style) not one that's going to scream 'HERE I AM'.
Or if you do opt for the casual Jeans, make it look more formal with a tight fitted shirt or a detailed top and plain blazer.

Primark haul-ing it again!

So yet again I went to Primark and even though I have already bought this stuff I can not wait to go again! It is true the prices have gone up but the tops and accessories are still reasonable primark prices. So that being that I went to buy mostly clothes/ items for my new job.
(office job) So I purchased a white fitted shirt, grey trousers and a few appropraite detailed tops.
obviously I bought one or two impulse buys I really did not need but I knew I would regret if I did not buy.

I definatly wanted to find a lightweight staple necklace, I thought this would be a very hard task in it's self because when I have just genuinly looked at them with no intention to buy I never found one I even slightly liked never mind wear. But this one from the moment I saw it I had to have it, I did urm an ah saying to my other half 'i'll just put it in my basket for now and if I change my mind I won't have it' but knew deep down knew it was mine!

Midi rings another thing that I did not need!
But I did look online the other day for midi-rings and for one tiny one was a silly price so I thought I would look in the shops instead, unlike the ones online they did not have little items on them like 'tiara's, words, as such' they were one plain band and one twisted in each of the four colours but I liked the simplicity of them and the price!

Also I did not need another new purse I bought my last one from primark over 8months ago and damn it is going strong for a £4 purse. But I fancied a new one when I was just nosing through them and when I saw that this one could actually hold all my coins! and lots of cards I thought perfect! So for £5 I bought the perfection, They also come in a nude colour with a matching bag if you like.

Don't forget you can find me and all of this primark haul on Youtube!

Work Wear Wardrobe

So I completed my first week in work, Well it was only three days really cause I started on a wednesday. But I call it the end of the week cause it's a weekend and valala.
So being told that I was to start work the very next day I practically had a freak out in my wardrobe and dug out anything black or boring!
But who want's to talk to a boring all in black newbie? So Digging deeper I brought out plain vest tops but to be paired with shirts in basic colours with designs on (such as; butterflies or small pink flowers).
Also slouchy long sleeve tops I find can work well with basic black work wear trousers and a statement necklace you will look comfortably ready for work.
Next weekend I shall be taking a adventure trip on the train to Cardiff City where the motherland of Primark, Newlook and topshop are shoved right under your nose (well once you've made the ten minute trip from the station and around the city arcade). So do not forget to check out next sunday's Blog post on all my goodie's mostly everything I buy will be for work and there may also be a Youtube video to go in great detail.

Cutesy, homely, re-design-ing your furniture

Well this tv cabinet was a dark oak colour (the inside bit where the dvd is, is the original colour)
But after a spell of boredum and seeing the de-stressed look all over a shop,
digging in the shed for the 'annie salone chalk white paint' I decided to paint the tv cabinet.
I also changed the huge old black tv to the one in the bedroom, a small flat screen till the new one came, added a bouquet of faux flowers and a candle to create the clean homely look.
The candle also creates a beautiful shadow on the wall with the lamp detailing, which I know isn't really shown in these photo's but I am very happy with the overall look.

Spring Dog walks and what to wear

Yes, this photo was taken last year so you may have seen it as my profile picture on many platforms for awhile, but I just love it. The simplicty of how it looks like such an un-planned photograph, but it really was trial and error on getting my dog 'izzie' to stay still for long.
Brown knit leggins- london/newlook, khaki & pink faux converse boots , Green long shirt- Select
This is a perfect outfit for a warm day but with a cold breeze in the air.
